Dr. Roland Chu is an accomplished Consultant Dermatologist with extensive expertise in managing a wide range of adult and pediatric skin, hair, and nail conditions. He has special interests in eczema, skin allergies, urticaria, acne, and skin cancers, and holds a PhD in dermatology focused on eczema research. Dr. Chu obtained his honors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and pursued Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2002. He completed his dermatology training in the UK, earning a prestigious Medical Research Council Fellowship and gaining specialized experience in skin allergy at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, London.

Before joining Skin Physicians, Dr. Chu served as a Consultant Dermatologist at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and the National Skin Centre (NSC) in Singapore, where he led eczema and allergy clinics. He is a Visiting Consultant at NSC and the National University Hospital, and has held academic roles at the University of Edinburgh and the National University of Singapore. Dr. Chu is an active member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore and has contributed significantly to international dermatology research, particularly in the area of eczema.
