Adj Asst Prof Wong Chui Mae is a Senior Consultant Paediatrician at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, specializing in both Child Development and Neonatology. With over 15 years of experience in pediatrics, including her work in the UK, Dr. Wong is particularly focused on developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and speech and language disorders. She has led the Autism Track Services at KKH since 2013 and has a PhD in neonatal pain. Her research interests include the effects of screen time and sleep on children with developmental disorders, as well as the comorbidity of ASD and ADHD.
Dr. Wong is certified in several developmental assessment tools, including Bayley, Griffiths, ADOS, and ADI-R for diagnosing autism. She is actively involved in clinical education, serving as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. She also serves on the Centralised Institutional Review Board of SingHealth. Dr. Wong has received numerous awards for her contributions to pediatric care and education, including the Singapore Health Quality Service Star Award and the NUS Teacher’s Day Award.
