Dr. Rie Aoyama is a Consultant in the Division of Paediatric Infectious Diseases at the Khoo Teck Puat - National University Children's Medical Institute, National University Hospital. She graduated with honors in paediatrics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2011 and completed her postgraduate training at NUH, where she was an active resident representative in the NUHS Residency Programme. As a clinical tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, she contributes to the training of both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.

Dr. Aoyama’s clinical interests span paediatric infectious diseases, general paediatrics, emergency medicine, and developmental paediatrics. She is dedicated to holistic patient care and promoting health literacy among families. Dr. Aoyama also has a strong commitment to community outreach, reflecting her passion for advocacy and public health. Her research includes studies on pediatric injuries and developmental-behavioral pediatrics. She is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
