Dr. Quek Bin Huey is a Senior Consultant in Neonatology at KK Women's and Children's Hospital and the Head of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). She is an expert in neonatal resuscitation, simulation-based learning, neonatal ventilation, chronic lung disease, and follow-up care for very-low-birth-weight infants. Dr. Quek is actively involved in teaching at several medical schools, including the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School. She also coordinates the Neonatal Programme for Paediatric Clerkship at Duke-GMS and trains doctors and nurses in newborn resuscitation.
Dr. Quek's contributions extend beyond clinical care to quality assurance and patient safety, where she plays a key role in audits and computerized physician order entry (CPOE) initiatives at KKH. She is a prominent figure in the Singapore Paediatric Society, serving as the Honorary Treasurer since 2008. Dr. Quek has received numerous awards, including the Service from the Heart Award and the Outstanding Faculty Award, for her dedication to medical education and patient care.
