Clin Assoc Prof Quah Boon Long is a Senior Consultant in Paediatric Ophthalmology, Adult Strabismus, Cataract, and Comprehensive Ophthalmology at the Singapore National Eye Centre. He also serves as a Senior Consultant at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Clin Assoc Prof Quah graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1987 and underwent specialized training in ophthalmology, including an international fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at The Hospital For Sick Children in Toronto. He has received numerous awards, including the prestigious John Gaby Best Fellow Research Prize in 1999.
Clin Assoc Prof Quah’s clinical expertise spans paediatric ophthalmology, squints (strabismus), cataracts, and general ophthalmology. He is deeply involved in training future ophthalmologists and is a clinical associate professor at SingHealth Duke-NUS Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Academic Clinical Programme. His research interests focus on strabismus, retinoblastoma, and paediatric eye disorders. He has published extensively in scientific journals and actively contributes to local and international ophthalmology conferences.
