Dr. Nirmal Kavalloor Visruthan is a Senior Consultant in Neonatology at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, specializing in the care of premature infants and newborns requiring intensive care. He has extensive experience managing complex neonatal conditions, including hyaline membrane disease, meconium aspiration syndrome, pulmonary hypertension, and other critical cases. Dr. Nirmal also runs the Neonatal Neurology and Renal Clinic, providing specialized care to infants with neurological and renal conditions. He is an adjunct assistant professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and a clinical lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

Dr. Nirmal has received numerous awards, including the Residency in SingHealth Excels (RiSE) Award for Outstanding Faculty and the Healthcare Humanity Award in 2020. His research interests include the morbidity of late-preterm infants, neurological outcomes in infants with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, and non-invasive home-based ventilation for neonates. Dr. Nirmal's dedication to advancing neonatal care is reflected in his contributions to both clinical practice and education.
