Professor Ivy Ng Swee Lian is a Senior Consultant in the Genetics Service at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, specializing in paediatric genetics. She is also the Senior Advisor of the SingHealth Board and has held leadership roles as Group CEO of SingHealth from 2012 to 2024 and CEO of KK Women's and Children's Hospital from 2004 to 2012. Her expertise covers a wide range of genetic conditions, including 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome, Achondroplasia, Thalassemia, and various mitochondrial diseases.

Prof Ng's academic and clinical career is complemented by her extensive research in thalassemia, dysmorphology, and mental retardation, with a focus on molecular genetics. She is a clinical professor at the National University of Singapore and an adjunct professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. With numerous publications in international journals, Prof Ng plays a key role in advancing genetic medicine, contributing to both clinical practice and education in the field of paediatrics.
