Emeritus Prof Low Poh Sim is an Emeritus Consultant in the Division of Paediatric Neurology at NUH and an Emeritus Professor at the Department of Paediatrics, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. Graduating from the University of Singapore in 1974, she further obtained her MMed and MD in Paediatrics from NUS. Her advanced training in paediatric neurology was completed at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh, and Boston Children’s Hospital, USA.

With over four decades of experience, E/Prof Low specializes in childhood epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, and learning and developmental challenges in children. She has been a Senior Consultant since 1993 and is deeply engaged in training and mentoring paediatricians. Her research contributions include refining genetic diagnostics for muscular dystrophies and exploring molecular heterogeneity in X-linked disorders. E/Prof Low has authored numerous publications in paediatric neurology and continues to shape the field through her clinical and academic work.
