Dr. Low Jia Ming is a Consultant in the Department of Neonatology at Khoo Teck Puat - National University Children's Medical Institute, National University Hospital (NUH). She earned her medical degree from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS), where she also received the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Prize in 2011. Dr. Low completed her postgraduate training in Paediatrics at NUH and achieved subspecialty accreditation in Neonatology. She serves as the research director for the Department of Neonatology and is passionate about neonatal resuscitation, neonatal infectious diseases, and immunology. Dr. Low has won several prestigious grants, including the MOH Healthcare Research Scholarship and the NUHS Clinician Scientist Program 2.0.

As a medical educator, Dr. Low is involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. She is a faculty member for the Graduate Diploma Child & Adolescent Course (Neonatal) and facilitates Neonatal Resuscitation Courses at NUS. Her teaching excellence has earned her numerous awards, including the NUS Medicine Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award and the Great & Good Teacher Award. Dr. Low has contributed significantly to research, with multiple publications in prominent journals, focusing on COVID-19 and its effects on lactating mothers and neonates. She is also a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).
