Professor Lee Yung Seng is the head and senior consultant of the Department of Paediatrics at Khoo Teck Puat - National University Children’s Medical Institute (KTP-NUCMI), National University Hospital (NUH). He specializes in paediatric endocrinology, focusing on growth, puberty, and hormonal disorders such as diabetes. Prof Lee also holds leadership roles, including Co-Director of the National University Centre for Women and Children and Group Chief for Paediatrics at the National University Health System.
Trained at NUH and Cambridge University, Prof Lee's research centers on obesity, diabetes, and growth, exploring genetic factors, early-life development, and the gut microbiome. His notable contributions include engineering probiotics for health benefits and publishing over 250 articles in renowned journals. He previously served as President of the Asia Pacific Paediatric Endocrine Society and the College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Singapore. Prof Lee remains dedicated to advancing child health and promoting healthy living through his extensive clinical and research work.
