Dr. Kam Kai-Qian is a Consultant at the Infectious Disease Service of KK Women's and Children's Hospital, specializing in pediatric infectious diseases. She completed her medical degree at the National University of Singapore in 2012 and earned her MRCPCH and Master of Medicine (Paediatric Medicine) in 2016. Dr. Kam has served in various leadership roles, including Chief Resident for the Paediatric Medicine Residency Program and Vaccination Operations Lead for COVID-19 at KKH. Her clinical and research interests focus on pediatric infections, COVID-19, vaccinations, antimicrobial stewardship, and infections in immunocompromised patients.
In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Kam holds academic appointments at Duke-NUS Medical School, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She is an active member of several national committees and has contributed extensively to research on pediatric infectious diseases, with numerous publications in prestigious journals. Dr. Kam was also awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in 2023 for her contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
