Dr. James Huang is a Senior Consultant in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Nutrition, Hepatology, and Liver Transplantation at Khoo Teck Puat - National University Children’s Medical Institute and a Senior Consultant in the Paediatric Liver Transplantation Programme at NUH. He also serves as Senior Consultant at NUWoC Children’s Clinic at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. With dual accreditation in Paediatric Medicine and Paediatric Gastroenterology, Dr. Huang specializes in paediatric inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and leads the department's diagnostic and therapeutic paediatric endoscopy services. He is a founding member of the Asian Paediatric IBD network and is actively involved in regional collaborations and registries.

An accomplished academic, Dr. Huang graduated as valedictorian from NUS, earning multiple accolades, including the Dean’s Most Outstanding House Officer Award. He has advanced training from the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, where he specialized in paediatric IBD and gastrointestinal conditions. Dr. Huang’s research interests include microbiome and metabolomics in paediatric IBD, and he has published extensively in international journals. His dedication to teaching extends to undergraduates, postgraduates, and healthcare professionals, reflecting his passion for advancing paediatric care.
