Dr. Foo Fong Yee is a Specialist in Ophthalmology with extensive experience in adult cataract surgery, strabismus (eye misalignment), diplopia (double vision), and childhood eye conditions. She graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2002 and earned her Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology in 2006. Dr. Foo is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Academy of Medicine of Singapore. She also completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the prestigious Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, USA.

Before joining Raffles Hospital, Dr. Foo was a Senior Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and Head of the Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Service. She continues to serve as a Visiting Consultant to both TTSH and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Dr. Foo has made significant contributions to medical education and has received numerous accolades, including multiple Best Teacher Awards and the NHG Teaching Award for Senior Doctors. Her clinical expertise covers a broad range of ophthalmic conditions, with a special focus on paediatric and adult strabismus, myopia control, childhood cataracts, and advanced cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens implantation.
