Dr. Saadia Zohra Farooqui is a Consultant in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at the Singapore National Eye Centre, with expertise in cataract surgery and comprehensive ophthalmology. She obtained her MBBS from Aga Khan University, Karachi, and later completed her Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) at NUS in 2015. Dr. Farooqui also holds FAMS accreditation, granted in 2017. She specializes in treating conditions like amblyopia (lazy eye), childhood myopia, and squint or strabismus in children.

Dr. Farooqui is deeply committed to education and is a clinical lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She is actively involved in SingHealth’s Residency Program, where she serves as core faculty. Her academic pursuits extend to ongoing subspecialty fellowship training in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. Dr. Farooqui received the SingHealth Best Resident Award in 2015 and has contributed significantly to the field of paediatric ophthalmology.
