Dr. Chiou Fang Kuan is the Head and Senior Consultant in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. With extensive expertise in paediatric liver diseases and gastrointestinal disorders, she specializes in managing conditions like acute liver failure, autoimmune hepatitis, biliary atresia, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). She is also skilled in diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy for children. Dr. Chiou trained in paediatric hepatology at the Liver Unit of Birmingham Children’s Hospital, UK, where she collaborated on advanced clinical and research projects.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Chiou serves as a Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and as a Physician Faculty member in Paediatrics for SingHealth Residency. A recipient of multiple awards, including the Young Investigator Scientific Award by The Transplantation Society, she has made significant contributions to research on biliary atresia, paediatric autoimmune hepatitis, and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders. Fluent in English, she provides comprehensive, compassionate care to young patients with complex gastroenterological needs.
