Dr. Deborah Tan is a Senior Consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), specializing in Paediatric Ophthalmology & Adult Strabismus, Cataract & Comprehensive Ophthalmology. She also serves as a Visiting Consultant at KK Women's and Children's Hospital. Dr. Tan holds a Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and is accredited by the Singapore Medical Council. Her expertise covers paediatric cataracts, childhood myopia, strabismus, and amblyopia. She has contributed to international journals and presented at various conferences, underlining her commitment to advancing ophthalmology.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Tan is involved in academic teaching as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and previously as a Clinical Lecturer at NUS. She has earned multiple awards, including the Long Service Award from SingHealth. Dr. Tan has published significant research, with a focus on paediatric ophthalmology and cataract surgery. She also holds leadership experience, having served as Chief Resident at SNEC in 2015.
