Dr. Chew Khong Yik is a Senior Consultant in Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, specializing in vascular anomalies, breast reconstruction, burns, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), and head and neck reconstruction. He obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2002 and has been with SingHealth Pte Ltd since 2012. Dr. Chew was inspired to pursue a surgical career in head and neck cancer during his housemanship, and later chose cancer reconstruction as his surgical specialty due to the challenges it presented.

He further advanced his skills as a Microsurgery Fellow at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan, where he gained expertise in handling complex cases. Dr. Chew played a key role in the formation of the SingHealth-Duke-NUS Disease Centre for Head and Neck, as well as the Liver Transplant Disease Centre. He is also passionate about education and research, focusing on plastic surgery, wound healing, burns, reconstructive microsurgery, and transplant immunology. Dr. Chew is actively involved in residency teaching and advancing clinical excellence.
