Dr. Chee Tji Tjian is a Consultant in the Department of Psychological Medicine at the National University Hospital (NUH). He graduated from the University of Glasgow, earning an MBChB, and further obtained membership with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow (MRCS). Pursuing his interest in psychiatry, he trained at the Maudsley Hospital in London, completed his core training in psychiatry, and earned a Master’s in Psychiatric Research from King’s College London. He specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, where he also obtained a diploma in systemic family therapy.
Dr. Chee specializes in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with a particular focus on family and systemic therapy. He emphasizes a holistic bio-psycho-social treatment model, integrating systemic approaches to address challenges faced by young people and families.
