Dr. Chee Qiao Zhi is an Associate Consultant at the Division of Paediatric Cardiology at the Khoo Teck Puat - National University Children's Medical Institute, National University Hospital. He graduated with an MBBS from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, in 2013. Dr. Chee completed his postgraduate residency in Paediatric Medicine at the National University Health System, during which he earned his Master of Medicine (Paediatrics) and was awarded the prestigious Wong Hock Boon Gold Medal. He also served as the Chief Resident during the COVID-19 pandemic, contributing significantly to the residency program during this global health crisis.
Dr. Chee's clinical interests lie in paediatric cardiology, focusing on heart conditions in children. His research includes work on the SHARPEN clinical risk score for predicting mortality in infective endocarditis, as well as exploring new methods for diagnosing Kawasaki disease through liquid biopsy. He is an active member of the Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology. Dr. Chee has published in various peer-reviewed journals, including the *International Journal of Cardiology* and *International Journal of Molecular Sciences*.
