Clinical Associate Professor Suresh Chandran is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Neonatology at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore. With over 30 years of experience in neonatal medicine, he specializes in treating conditions such as congenital malformations in newborns, hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), neonatal sepsis, and respiratory distress syndrome. He is also known for pioneering a comprehensive service for the diagnosis and management of hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia at KKH in 2014. His clinical expertise extends to managing persistent pulmonary hypertension, necrotizing enterocolitis, and congenital anomalies.
A/Prof Chandran has an illustrious academic background, holding multiple qualifications, including an MBBS, MD in Pediatrics, and FRCPCH from the UK. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Recognized for his dedication to education and research, his accolades include numerous awards, such as the Singapore Health Quality Service Gold Awards.
