Dr. Chan Si Min is the Head and Senior Consultant of the Division of Paediatric Infectious Diseases at the Khoo Teck Puat - National University Children's Medical Institute, National University Hospital. She obtained her MBBS from St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School, Imperial College School of Medicine, UK, and further specialized with a postgraduate diploma in Paediatric Infectious Diseases from the University of Oxford. Dr. Chan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) and is registered as a specialist in Paediatric Medicine in both the UK and Singapore.
Dr. Chan’s expertise lies in managing severe, high-risk, or unusual infections in children, including exposure to blood-borne viruses like Hepatitis B/C and HIV, and tuberculosis or non-tuberculous mycobacteria. She also provides guidance on routine, travel-related, and specialized vaccinations. She played a key role in developing NUH’s Paediatric Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy service and oversees the Paediatric Antibiotic Stewardship Programme and infection control. Beyond clinical care, Dr. Chan is active in medical education and contributes to outbreak response and surveillance for pediatric infectious diseases. Her research and publications focus on infectious diseases and innovative treatment approaches for children.
