Dr. Abhilash Balakrishnan is a senior consultant in Otorhinolaryngology and an expert in general and pediatric otolaryngology. He treats a range of conditions, including Meniere’s Disease and rhinosinusitis, with clinical appointments at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), and the National Cancer Centre Singapore. Dr. Balakrishnan is recognized for his pioneering role as Singapore’s first trained pediatric otolaryngologist, having completed a clinical fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London in 1990.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Balakrishnan has contributed significantly to the development of otolaryngology in Singapore, holding key leadership roles such as Acting Head at SGH and Foundation Head of Otolaryngology at KKH. He remains an influential figure in medical education, serving as a Clinical Associate Professor at NUS and actively participating in training programs and workshops.
