Asst Prof Abdul Alim is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Neonatology at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, where he has been practicing since 2011. He specializes in the care of well newborns, neonatal jaundice, feeding problems in newborns, and the critical care of newborns, particularly in the neonatal intensive care unit. His clinical interests also extend to neurodevelopment in babies, prematurity, and related conditions. He is the head of the Special Care Nursery at KKH and provides follow-up care for premature infants.

Dr. Alim completed his medical education in India and further specialized in Paediatrics and Neonatology in the UK, where he also completed a fellowship in paediatric cardiology. His research interests include neonatal respiratory care, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, neonatal cardiology, and functional echocardiography. Dr. Alim is an active educator, serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and holding adjunct positions at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He has been recognized with several awards for his contributions to medical education and clinical excellence.
