A/Prof. Arunachalam Ilancheran is a highly experienced gynaecologist and obstetrician specializing in gynaecologic oncology, with over 40 years in the field. He completed his MBBS in Singapore and his traineeship at KK Women's Hospital. A/Prof. Ilancheran obtained his MMed (O&G) in 1978 and MRCOG (UK) in 1979. He furthered his expertise with a fellowship in gynaecologic oncology in the USA, UK, and Taiwan from 1983 to 1985 and earned his MD thesis in 1992. His practice focuses on all aspects of gynaecological cancer, particularly the surgical management of advanced cancer and gestational trophoblastic neoplasm. He is a member of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and the Singapore Medical Council, and is fluent in English and Tamil.
