Nanyang Kindergarten has been a great choice for our son. The staff is very professional, and we appreciate the regular updates on his progress. At pick-up, the teachers often will tell me if they have any concerns with him, and even advise me on things we need to work with him on so I think the parent-teacher communication is really good. I can see his teachers especially Fu laoshi is very doting. The only downside is the long line of cars flowing through the driveway during drop-off and pick-up times which can often be jammed or hectic, but it’s a minor inconvenience. Overall, we’re very satisfied and will also send our daughter there when it is time!
I loved that it was a full chinese immersion for my son because the entire pre-nursery and nursery levels are taught in mandarin. We don't speak much mandarin at home and I was very surprised by his level of mandarin! He would sing songs in mandarin and also recite some of the chinese poems that they learnt in school. Teachers are generally warm, and they seem to take a genuine interest in the kids. It was a very long waitlist to enroll though! I thought I was on time for the enrollment but I was waitlisted at #150+ (lol) and fortunately we managed to get a slot in the afternoon session. Mavis is lovely.
